Throughout the years Jodi has been known to draft up training plans for friends to guide them towards their goal. He loves being a part of someone’s training and seeing them achieve the goal that’s set out in front of them.
Jodi is now formally offering online coaching services for anyone and everyone…no matter what your goal may be.
Here’s a few words from him:
I’ve coached high school track, cross country and many trail and ultrarunners along the way since 1994. I’m passionate about running and about helping people attain their goals. Whether you’re training for your first 5k or you want to conquer a trail race or an ultramarathon, I’d love to help!
I did my first 24hr race back in 1999, so I’ve been playing in the woods for awhile now. Here are some highlights: I’ve been a Salomon ambassador since 2012, Barkley Marathons “Fun Run” finisher, ultrarunner since 2003 (I’ve been known to do a few road races too), Cape Chignecto 1, 2, and 3 loop “Fastest Known Time” (along with a few other trails), I was part of the only 2 person team to do the Cabot Trail Relay in 2009, and the only race director in Atlantic Canada that’s been organizing a trail running series since 2011!
I’m a very focused person when it comes to training and I specialize in using my time wisely while training specifically for my chosen race. This is also how I coach. Everyone is busy, so training specifically and smartly for your race is key.
Whether you want to try to complete your first 5k, your first trail race, or your first ultra, Jodi will help you achieve your goal. With a slightly different approach, he’ll keep things fresh and put a different spin on how you thought training “should be”.

A straight up 3 or 6 month training plan/schedule to keep you on track. This would include weekly mileage goals, weekly time goals and weekly vertical goals. Recommended for folks that have their own regular workouts that they’d sprinkle in every now and then.
This plan would be set up in a calendar format for ease of use.
“One-on-one” coaching which includes a detailed training plan/schedule, a Training Peaks account where everything will be housed (training plan, goals, GPS data, etc), unlimited emails/phone calls, two detailed workouts per week that would be specific for your goal race (and other races in between) plus the regular “bread & butter” runs, evaluation of your weekly runs through Training Peaks and anything else you can think of really!!
